Enrolment management plan
Our school has an enrolment management plan. Please, check the catchment map to ensure that you are eligible for enrolment at East Brisbane State School. Students residing within the schools’ catchment area are welcome to enrol at our school at anytime. Parents wishing to enrol students who are living outside of the catchment area should contact the school's office to check their eligibility in consideration of the school's enrolment plan.
New enrolments school interview
With some enrolments, an enrolment interview may be conducted for each newly enrolled child and their family once all forms and paperwork are received.
If an interview is arranged prior to receiving the necessary enrolment forms and documents this will be booked with you by our administration office.
On the day of the interview, please bring your completed:
- enrolment form
- general permission form
- state school consent form
- enrolment agreement
- birth certificate or passport as proof of birthdate
- current proof of residency
* one primary source - lease agreement/rates notice
* one secondary source - utility bill (electricity/gas)
If you are from another country we will require proof of your visa subclass. Some international students will require papers from Education Queensland International. Alternately, if your child is transferring from another school please bring any current information you have.
At the interview we will discuss what East Brisbane State School has to offer and our expectations of students. The interview is the best time for parents to raise any concerns they may have about their children so that we can make sure that we can meet any needs/concerns and inform the teacher so they are prepared.
The interview will often include a walk around the school.
