At East Brisbane State school, we are proud to be partnering with The Resilience Project to strengthen the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and wider community. This program is based on practical, evidence-based strategies that support positive mental health and build resilience in young people.
The Resilience Project focuses on three key pillars:
Gratitude – noticing and appreciating the positives in our lives
Empathy – understanding and being kind to others
Mindfulness – being present and aware in the moment
These simple but powerful practices are taught explicitly in classrooms and embedded across all areas of school life. Whether it’s through classroom learning, playground interactions, leadership opportunities or whole-school events, we encourage students to recognise and practise gratitude, empathy and mindfulness every day.
By weaving these principles into everything we do, we aim to create a safe, supportive and positive school culture where every child can flourish both academically and personally.
